Elm Run Farms has been family owned since it was purchased in 1893. Over the course of 120 years spanning 5 generations, the 200 acre farm has seen many changes in what has been grown or raised. A lot has changed in farming methods since 1893 as well. Fifth-generation owner, Ken Ressler, has returned the focus back to the basics of healthy and sustainable farming. Ken has many years of experience as a cattle nutrition consultant and has seen first-hand the importance that proper nutrition has in raising healthy cattle.

Elm Run Farms operates on the philosophy that food should be raised as naturally as possible. This is done through responsible farming practices and by producing naturally raised, minimally processed food. Cows are never given grain — they are 100% grass fed. Chickens, turkeys and pigs are pasture-raised and given only non-GMO feed. No chemical fertilizers are used on Elm Run Farms pastures.
